OUR PURPOSE
"To meet both the physical and spiritual needs of people through the drilling and maintenance of water wells and other types of humanitarian aid to communities in need worldwide"
LIVING WATER PLAN
WOLWI STORY
It all started when a group of men from a North Carolina scuba diving class traveled to Peru to volunteer in the wake of a devastating earth quake. While there, they noticed an obvious need...fresh drinking water. They determined to go back home and start a ministry to help meet
that need.
WELL-DRILLING
Because the entire West coast of Peru is quite arid due to lack of rain, WOLWI has centered its efforts on the region of Peru called Piura and its capital city of the same name. With the guidance of two professional well drillers, two complete drilling rigs can now be employed to bring fresh ground water to needy villages.
CHURCH PLANTING
The first few wells established by the WOLWI team were placed near a trusted local church that could oversee the well's condition and use. As the scope of the need expanded, it was found that there are a great number of areas of the Piura Region that have no church to supply this need. With the special leadership of Pastor Jorge Fonseca, the Church Planting ministry was begun.
This is why we go...you've got to see this video interview!
