Church Planting

When the WOLWI drilling team left a new well in an area called “Kilometer 50” that had no local church near by, there was a great concern to plant a church.  Under the leadership of our WOLWI team member, Pastor Jorge Fonseca and Pastor Carlos Idalgo, in Piura City, an hour and a half away, evangelism and church planting teams began weekly meetings there.  A new church was soon established there.  The news is that the church has now celebrated its first anniversary.  As of the May 2019 drilling trip, another new church is now being planted in what is called Mogote, in the area of Chulucanas.  Two more church plants have been started early in 2020.  A church in Fayetteville, at the request of the church planter, has purchased him a motorcycle to travel to the new church.
